To reverse the flow of fluid in a wellbore or pipeline to clear an obstruction or to clean a filter or screen. This process involves pumping fluid down an annulus or a different flow path to dislodge debris or accumulated solids. It is commonly used in gravel pack completions or to clean perforations.
