Acid wash
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-004212
A well intervention technique involving the injection of a relatively small volume of acid into the wellbore to remove scale, rust, or other deposits that restrict fluid flow. This treatment is typically performed to clean the perforations, casing, or near-wellbore area. Unlike matrix acidizing, an acid wash aims to clean rather than stimulate the formation.
