Intensifier

Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-002005

A device that increases the pressure of a fluid, typically hydraulic fluid, to a higher level than the input pressure. In well intervention, intensifiers are used to boost the pressure of control fluids for downhole tools or to achieve higher injection pressures for certain operations. They operate on the principle of differential piston areas.
