Jackup rig

A self-elevating mobile offshore drilling unit that floats to the drilling site and then lowers legs to the seafloor. The rig's hull is then jacked up above the waves to provide a stable working platform. These rigs are commonly used in water depths ranging from 20 to 400 feet.
