Texas deck

A working platform below the rig floor and rotary table that gives the crew access to the blowout preventer stack. It is found on most jackup rigs, some shallow-water semisubmersibles, and some large land rigs. On a jackup it surrounds the base of the BOP stack and hangs from the cantilever on adjustable cables, and it is also called a Texas floor.
