Lubricity

The measure of a drilling fluid's ability to reduce friction between contacting surfaces, such as the drill pipe and the casing or formation. Good lubricity minimizes torque and drag, preventing mechanical wear and improving drilling efficiency. It is quantified using a lubricity coefficient or torque reduction percentage.
