MBT test
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-002305
A laboratory procedure, also known as the methylene blue test, that determines the cation exchange capacity (CEC) of drilled solids in a drilling fluid. This test quantifies the amount of reactive clay present, which influences mud rheology and filtration properties.
