Minimum miscibility enrichment
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-002381
The lowest concentration of an enriching component, such as hydrocarbons or carbon dioxide, in an injected gas stream that achieves miscibility with the reservoir oil at a given pressure and temperature. Achieving miscibility eliminates interfacial tension between the injected fluid and oil, leading to more efficient displacement. This parameter is determined through laboratory experiments like slim-tube tests.
