Miscible
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-002387
Describing two or more fluids that can mix in all proportions to form a single, homogeneous phase. In enhanced oil recovery, miscibility between an injected solvent and reservoir oil eliminates interfacial tension, allowing for more efficient displacement of oil from the pore spaces. This condition is achieved when the solvent and oil become indistinguishable at the molecular level.
