MMC
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-002397
An abbreviation for minimum miscibility concentration, the lowest concentration of a solvent in a gas that will achieve miscibility with a reservoir oil at a given pressure and temperature. In solvent-based enhanced oil recovery, achieving miscibility eliminates the interface between the injected fluid and the oil, leading to a highly efficient displacement. The MMC is determined through laboratory experiments like the slim-tube test or by using correlations.
