Dynamic miscibility
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-001227
The condition where two fluids, initially immiscible, achieve miscibility through mass transfer and compositional changes as they flow and interact within a porous medium. This is often observed in gas injection processes for enhanced oil recovery, where injected gas components extract lighter hydrocarbons from the crude oil. The process is characterized by a continuous change in fluid compositions.
