Displacement efficiency
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-001120
The fraction of oil displaced from the pore spaces of a reservoir rock by an injected fluid, relative to the original oil in place within the swept volume. This efficiency is a measure of how effectively the injected fluid mobilizes oil at the pore scale. It is influenced by fluid properties, rock wettability, and interfacial tension.
