Volumetric sweep efficiency
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-004066
The fraction of the total reservoir volume that is contacted by the injected fluid during a displacement process. It is the product of areal sweep efficiency and vertical sweep efficiency. This parameter indicates how effectively the injected fluid covers the reservoir both horizontally and vertically, influencing the overall oil recovery.
