Vertical displacement efficiency
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-004031
The fraction of oil displaced from the swept portion of a reservoir in the vertical direction. It quantifies how effectively the injected fluid displaces oil from different layers or zones within the reservoir. This efficiency is influenced by factors such as gravity, fluid densities, and permeability variations between layers.
