Versenate
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-004030
A chemical compound, typically ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA), used in drilling fluid analysis to chelate and quantify the concentration of calcium and magnesium ions. This titration method determines the hardness of the water phase in a drilling fluid. The results are expressed in parts per million (ppm) of calcium carbonate equivalent.
