Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-001313

Equivalent parts per million, a unit of concentration used in drilling fluid analysis, particularly for expressing the concentration of ions in water. It normalizes the concentration of different ions based on their equivalent weight, allowing for direct comparison of their chemical reactivity. For example, 1 epm of calcium has the same chemical equivalence as 1 epm of magnesium.
