Minute mark

A signal recorded on a well log, usually as a tick or deflection in a dedicated track, to indicate the passage of time. These marks are generated by a clock at one-minute intervals during logging operations. They provide a direct record of the logging speed, which is calculated from the distance logged between two consecutive marks.
