Nitrified fluid

Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-002540

A treatment fluid, such as fracturing fluid or acid, that has nitrogen gas dissolved or dispersed within it. The nitrogen reduces the fluid density and increases its compressibility, which improves fluid recovery after the treatment. This technique is often used in formations sensitive to hydrostatic pressure.
