Perforation density
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-002743
The number of perforations created per linear foot of wellbore in a given interval. This parameter is a key design factor in perforating operations, influencing the flow area and productivity of a well. Common perforation densities range from 4 to 12 shots per foot, but can be higher for specific applications.
