Petrophysical rock type
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-002765
A classification of reservoir rock based on its petrophysical properties, such as porosity, permeability, and capillary pressure characteristics. It groups rocks with similar pore network geometries and fluid flow behavior. These types are often determined from core analysis and integrated with well log data to characterize reservoir heterogeneity.
