J factor
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-002061
A dimensionless capillary pressure function that normalizes capillary pressure curves for different rock types, allowing for comparison and averaging. It relates capillary pressure, interfacial tension, and pore throat radius. This factor is used to predict water saturation in formations based on core data and log measurements.
