Iterative methods
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-002060
Computational procedures that repeatedly apply a set of calculations to refine an initial estimate until a desired level of accuracy or convergence is achieved. In reservoir simulation, these methods are used to solve complex systems of equations describing fluid flow and pressure distribution. Examples include successive over-relaxation and conjugate gradient methods.
