PHPA mud

Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-002780

A water-based drilling fluid system that incorporates partially hydrolyzed polyacrylamide (PHPA) as a primary additive. This mud is designed to inhibit shale hydration and dispersion, thereby improving wellbore stability in reactive shale formations. PHPA muds also provide viscosity and fluid loss control, reducing the need for other additives.
