Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-003009

An abbreviation for plastic viscosity, a rheological parameter that represents the resistance of a fluid to flow once it has started moving. It is a measure of the internal friction of the fluid and is primarily influenced by the concentration and size of solids in the drilling fluid. PV is expressed in centipoise (cP) and is derived from viscometer readings.
