VG meter
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-004044
A rotational viscometer, such as a Fann viscometer, used to measure the rheological properties of drilling fluids. It determines plastic viscosity, yield point, and gel strength by measuring shear stress at different shear rates. Readings are typically taken at 600 and 300 revolutions per minute (rpm) to calculate these parameters.
