High-pressure, high-temperature viscometer

Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-001829

A laboratory instrument designed to measure the rheological properties of drilling fluids, such as viscosity and gel strength, under simulated downhole conditions of elevated pressure and temperature. This device allows for accurate characterization of fluid behavior at conditions representative of deep wells. Measurements are typically taken at temperatures up to 500°F (260°C) and pressures up to 20,000 psi.
