Brookfield viscometer

Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-000469

A rotational viscometer used to measure the viscosity of drilling fluids at low shear rates. It operates by rotating a spindle immersed in the fluid and measuring the torque required to overcome viscous resistance. This instrument provides data for characterizing the flow behavior of muds, particularly their gel strength and yield point.
