Rotary hose

A high-pressure flexible line that connects the standpipe to the swivel, allowing drilling fluid to be pumped down the drill string while the string rotates. It must withstand the pulsating pressure from the mud pumps and the abrasive nature of the drilling fluid. This hose is typically reinforced with multiple layers of steel wire and rubber, and its length can range from 45 to 75 feet.
