Shear pin

A small, cylindrical metal component designed to break or shear at a predetermined force, activating a mechanism or releasing a tool. In perforating, shear pins are used in firing heads to initiate the gun string when a specific pressure or tension is applied. The shear value is precisely engineered for each application.
