Sonde error

A systematic inaccuracy in a logging measurement caused by the design and physical characteristics of the logging tool, or sonde, itself. This type of error is distinct from environmental effects or statistical variations in the measurement. Sonde error is corrected during data processing using characterization data specific to the tool, which is determined by the manufacturer through laboratory measurements and computer modeling.
