Sweet
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-003723
Describing crude oil or natural gas that contains very low concentrations of hydrogen sulfide (H2S), typically less than 0.5 percent by weight. Sweet crude is less corrosive and requires less processing to remove impurities, making it more desirable and valuable. The absence of H2S reduces health and safety risks during production and refining.
