Tadpole

A graphical representation on a well log that displays the dip and azimuth of bedding planes or fractures encountered in a borehole. The 'head' of the tadpole indicates the dip angle, and the 'tail' points in the direction of the dip. These plots are derived from dipmeter or image logs and are used to interpret subsurface structural geology.
