Tie
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-004475
The correlation of seismic reflection data with well log data at a specific well location. This process involves converting well log measurements, such as sonic and density logs, into synthetic seismograms that can be matched with the seismic traces. A good seismic-to-well tie confirms the interpretation of seismic horizons and provides depth control for seismic data.
