Tuff
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-003950
A fine-grained, porous rock formed from volcanic ash and dust ejected during an eruption, which then settles and compacts. It often contains fragments of other rocks and minerals. Tuff can serve as a reservoir rock if it has sufficient porosity and permeability, though it is less common than sandstone or carbonate reservoirs.
