Wire-wrapped screen

A type of sand control device consisting of a perforated base pipe over which a continuous wire is wrapped around support rods, creating precise slots. These slots are designed to allow reservoir fluids to flow into the wellbore while preventing the ingress of formation sand. Wire-wrapped screens are commonly used in unconsolidated formations to maintain well productivity and prevent equipment damage.
