Strainer

A device installed in a flowline or wellbore to remove solid particles from the fluid stream. It typically consists of a mesh screen or perforated plate that traps debris while allowing the fluid to pass through. Strainers protect downstream equipment such as pumps and valves from damage caused by sand, scale, or other foreign matter.
