Yoke
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-004192
A rigid structural frame that connects two separate components, transferring loads and maintaining their relative position. In offshore production, a yoke is a common feature of a single point mooring system, forming a triangular or A-frame structure that permanently links a floating storage unit to a rotating buoy. This connection holds the vessel at a fixed distance from the buoy while permitting it to weathervane freely around the mooring point.
