Active systemic anaphylaxis test
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-000192
A procedure for evaluating the potential of a substance to induce a severe, generalized allergic reaction in a sensitized animal. This test involves administering the test substance to an animal previously exposed to an allergen, then observing for signs of anaphylaxis such as respiratory distress, hypotension, or collapse.
