Adsorption isostere

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-000291

A curve that connects points of equal adsorbed amount on an adsorption isotherm plot, representing the relationship between pressure and temperature at a constant surface coverage. It illustrates how the equilibrium pressure of an adsorbate changes with temperature when the amount adsorbed remains constant. The slope of an adsorption isostere can be used to determine the isosteric heat of adsorption.
