Differential molar energy of adsorption
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003170
The change in internal energy when one mole of adsorbate is transferred from the gas phase to an adsorbent surface at constant temperature and volume, at a specific surface coverage. This value reflects the strength of the interaction between the adsorbate and the surface. It is a thermodynamic quantity used to characterize adsorption processes.
