Radiation-induced adsorption
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009835
The process where the adsorption of molecules onto a surface is promoted or enhanced by exposure to radiation. The radiation can create new adsorption sites, modify the surface properties, or activate the adsorbate molecules, leading to increased surface coverage. This phenomenon is relevant in surface chemistry and materials science.
