Differential diffusion coefficient

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003169

A measure of the rate at which a substance diffuses through a medium under a concentration gradient, where the coefficient itself depends on the concentration. This coefficient describes the proportionality between the flux of a substance and its concentration gradient. It is often determined experimentally by observing the spreading of a concentration boundary.
