Charge carrier diffusion
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001892
The movement of charge carriers, such as electrons or holes, through a polymer due to random thermal motion, driven by a concentration gradient. This process contributes to the overall charge transport in the absence of an external electric field. The diffusion coefficient is measured in cm²/s.
