Ambient mass spectrometry

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-000473

A mass spectrometry approach that involves the ionization of samples directly in the open environment, rather than within a vacuum chamber. This technique enables rapid analysis of surfaces, liquids, and gases without the need for extensive sample preparation. It is often employed for real-time monitoring and direct analysis of biological samples or forensic evidence.
