Amine ylides
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-012862
Neutral dipolar compounds containing a positively charged nitrogen atom directly bonded to a negatively charged carbon atom. The nitrogen atom is typically quaternary, meaning it is bonded to four other atoms or groups. These ylides are reactive intermediates that can participate in cycloaddition reactions or act as nucleophiles.
