Amplitude of alternating current

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-000525

The maximum absolute value reached by an alternating current during one cycle of its oscillation. This value represents the peak intensity of the current flow in either direction. For a sinusoidal alternating current, the amplitude is the peak current, often denoted as I_max or I_p.
