Analytical radiochemistry
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-012869
The branch of analytical chemistry in which radioactivity is a necessary part of the procedure, covering both the determination of radionuclides in samples and the use of radioactivity to analyse any material, as in activation analysis, radiotracer and isotope dilution methods. It is synonymous with radioanalytical chemistry. Its measurement techniques include gamma spectrometry and liquid scintillation counting.
