Non-destructive activation analysis
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008017
A nuclear analytical technique where a sample is irradiated with neutrons or other particles to induce radioactivity, and the emitted radiation is measured without altering the physical or chemical form of the sample. This method allows for the analysis of valuable or unique samples without their destruction. Gamma-ray spectrometry is commonly used to identify and quantify the induced radionuclides.
