Antitoxin

An antibody produced by the immune system that neutralizes a specific toxin. These antibodies bind to and inactivate bacterial exotoxins or other harmful substances, preventing them from damaging host cells. Antitoxins are used as a treatment for certain bacterial infections, such as diphtheria and tetanus, providing passive immunity.
