Anti-thixotropy
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-000717
A rheological phenomenon where the viscosity of a non-Newtonian fluid increases over time when subjected to a constant shear rate. This behavior is also known as negative thixotropy or rheopexy. Upon removal of the shear, the fluid slowly returns to its initial lower viscosity state.
